There are 4 discounted stores in the city which are Marktkauf, Netto, PENNY Markt, and LIDL, and some Beverage stores.

MENSA is still one of the favorite places amongst students to have their lunch. Mensa offers some variety of meals and drinks. Looking for Hallal lunch, Deniz Doener also can be reached around 5 minutes from the Institute by walking. There are also some lunch stores in the town which can be reached within 15 minutes walking from the institute. For a lunch it can cost from 2 – 7 Euros/meal.

For Muslims, ALDI Markt provides Hallal-Certified Chicken meat. For Hallal Beef, it can be found in Goslar (+/- 17km) or by Deniz Doener in the town.

– Housing and Livings

You can find housing in Clausthal in many different ways:

1. Studentenwerk (Student’s Dormitory)
Although considered to be a little bit more expensive than a private dormitory, student’s dormitory offers very good building facilities thus making it become popular in student’s choice. 2. Private and Church Owned Dormitory
There are also many private dormitories in Clausthal, you can find it by yourself or from Housing agency which located in Clausthal. For Church-owned dormitory, usually, it is offered at a very cheap price with good facility.
